Project of Hope
This competition is presented by Engo Free State to raise funds for children in child and youth care centres, poor families and children in communities, disabled people, the elderly, and patients in need. A Renault Kwid Climber to the value of R222 000.00 can be won. No persons under 18 may take part in this competition. Participants will be required to make a minimum donation of R 50.00 and complete a raffle ticket to enter the competition. Participants may donate more than R50 and will qualify for an entry ticket for every R50 donation. One raffle ticket for every R 50.00 donation will be issued. If the donation is not in increments of R 50.00 the amount in excess of R 50.00 will be seen as an unconditional donation, e.g. a donation of R 90.00 will result in one raffle ticket to the value of R 50.00 being issued and the balance of R 40.00 will be treated as a R 40.00 donation.
No employees of Engo and its sub programmes, sponsors of this competition and their employees as well as employees of Evolve Audit & Advisory (Evolve) may take part in the competition. Five finalists and the ultimate winner will be determined by lucky draws. Evolve will randomly select the five finalists. The random selection (by lucky draw) will not be overruled by donations exceeding the R50 minimum cost of the ticket. Participants who were issued with more than one ticket will only qualify for one place in the final draw irrespective of whether more than one ticket of the participant may have been drawn as part of the final draw of five participants i.e. if a participant has been issued more than one ticket and if more than one ticket in the participants name is drawn as part of the five finalists he or she will only qualify once as a finalist. The participant will therefore only be allowed one place in the top 5 finalists.
Participants chosen as a finalist, agree and give permission that their photos and names may be used in the media, publications and on social media platforms. The vehicle used at different promotions throughout the Free State is not the prize vehicle and its colour may vary from that of the vehicle on the marketing material. Entries will close at 00:00 on 30 September 2025. The Final draw event will be held on 31 October 2025 in Bloemfontein and finalists are requested to attend this event. The winner will only be chosen from the finalists personally attending the Final draw event. If the finalist cannot attend the Final draw event, the finalist may transfer the ticket to someone else, who can attend and therefore qualify for the prize. This transfer of a ticket has to be confirmed in writing and signed by both parties (the finalist giving away the ticket as well as the substitute receiving the ticket). The substitute will then become the new finalist, and the terms and conditions stated herein will apply to him / her.
Engo will be responsible for the direct travel expenses of the finalists (fuel and toll gate costs to Bloemfontein, depending on distance of travel). Accommodation for two people per finalist will be provided for a maximum of two days, depending on distance of travel. Payment of travel expenses to attend the Final draw event, will be paid back on presentation of proof of travel expenses as mentioned.
Please note that adherence to all competition rules and general regulation will be audited by Evolve Audit & Advisory. Please note that the draw of the five finalists and the winner is final and there will be no correspondence in this regard to dispute the results. The prizes cannot be exchanged for cash. Society Lottery Scheme is registered with National Lotteries Commission (Reg No. 00427/02).
