At Salileni, we provide a safe and supportive environment for adults with disabilities. We help our members acquire valuable life skills, enabling them to develop independence and even generate an income. Our programs include basic literacy and numeracy, as well as crafts such as woodworking, painting, sewing, and knitting. In addition, we celebrate creativity through singing, dancing, and concerts with costumes, while everyone also learns Sign Language—a necessity, as we have two deaf-mute members.

The name “Salileni” is derived from the Afrikaans phrase “Sal nie gaan lê nie”, which reflects our commitment to keep fighting for the survival of the centre and the empowerment of people with disabilities. Our centre operates without government assistance and relies on community support. Your support can make a real difference in the lives of our members.
Help us continue our mission – together, we can build a future where no one is forgotten!
