Cruise for a Cause

The Cruise for a Cause concept is a competition where an MSC Cruise to Portuguese Island for two people, with all expenses paid, can be won when people make a minimum donation of R50. Participants will receive one chance for every R50 donation.

The competition will run from 17 April 2026 and will close on 30 September 2026. All tickets and proof of donations must reach the Marketing Office by Friday, 9 October 2026 to qualify for the draw. The winner will be announced by 23 October 2026, and the process will be audited by Evolve Audit and Advisory.

Terms and Conditions

This competition is presented by Engo Free State to raise funds for children in child and youth care centres, poor families and children in communities, disabled people, the elderly, and patients in need.

An MSC Cruise for two adults to the value of R23 000 can be won. No persons under the age of 18 years may participate in this competition.

Participants will be required to make a minimum donation of R50.00 and complete a raffle ticket to enter the competition. Participants may donate more than R50 and will qualify for one raffle ticket for every R50 donation.

One raffle ticket will be issued for every R50.00 donation. If the donation is not in increments of R50.00, the amount above R50.00 will be regarded as an unconditional donation. For example: a donation of R90.00 will result in one raffle ticket to the value of R50.00 being issued, and the remaining R40.00 will be treated as a donation.

No employees of Engo Free State and its sub-programmes, sponsors of this competition and their employees, as well as employees of Evolve Audit and Advisory, may participate in the competition.

Five finalists and the ultimate winner will be determined by lucky draws. Evolve Audit and Advisory will randomly select the five finalists. The random draw will not be influenced by donations exceeding the minimum amount of R50.

Participants who were issued with more than one ticket will only qualify for one place in the final draw, even if more than one of their tickets is drawn among the five finalists.

Finalists agree and give permission for their names and photographs to be used in the media, publications, and on social media platforms.

Entries close at 00:00 on 30 September 2026.

The final draw event will be held by 23 October 2026 in Bloemfontein, and finalists are requested to attend the event. The winner will only be chosen from finalists who are personally present.

If a finalist cannot attend the final draw event, he or she may transfer the ticket to someone else who can attend and therefore qualify for the prize. This transfer must be confirmed in writing and signed by both parties. The substitute will then become the new finalist, and all terms and conditions will apply to him/her.

Engo Free State will be responsible for the direct travel expenses of finalists (fuel and toll gate costs up to a maximum of R3000). Accommodation for two people per finalist will be provided for a maximum of two days.

Finalists and their partners attending the final draw will be responsible for their own meals and other expenses. Travel expenses will be reimbursed upon presentation of proof of expenses as mentioned above.

Please note that compliance with all competition rules and general regulations will be audited by Evolve Audit and Advisory.

The draw of the five finalists and the winner is final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding any dispute of the results.

Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash.

The winner will also be subject to the terms and conditions of MSC Cruises, Let’s Cruise, and Hollard Insurance.

The date of the prize is fixed for 11–14 December 2026, but the winner may change free of charge to another cruise within the South African 2026/2027 season, or to an international cruise, subject to availability.
